Este galpão abrigava uma lavanderia chamada Nova Metragem. Originalmente, o prédio ocupava não somente esta área, mas também a area onde hoje há um estacionammento.
Nos lados do galpão, de um havia um lava rápido que era muito interessante, pois o carro entrava numa extremidade, e em todo o percurso as pessoas podiam acompanhar a lavagem feita pelas máquinas, pois era tudo envidraçado. Do outro lado havia um posto de gasolina.
Agora só restou a lembrança destes estabelecimentos. Tempos antes de fechar o lava rapido, uma pessoa havia morrido no local por ter prendido seu pé no mecanismo que servia para rebocar os carros ao longo do sistema de lavagem.
Este estabelecimento foi derrubado e virou um grande estacionamento. Uma pena!
Puxa ja passei em frente varias vezes e ainda passo com certa frequencia, e jamais imaginei que ali existiu um dia um imovel tão charmosinho, e que por tras dele ha uma (s) historia (as)….
O ponto de onibus permanece. mais moderno, mas permanece….
